Simon Azuélos is an engineering student at École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, specializing in the Economics and Finance department. His work has primarily focused on optimizing public debt structures and developing predictive models for sovereign debt crises. In July 2024, he joined the Finance for Development Lab to work on forecasting sovereign stress episodes using machine learning techniques. Simon’s expertise lies at the intersection of economic modeling and financial analytics, with a strong interest in applying quantitative methods to address complex challenges in sovereign finance.
