Simon Cueva

Senior Fellow & former Minister of Economy and Finance of Ecuador

Simon Cueva is a former Minister of Economy and Finance of Ecuador; Senior Economist & Representative in Bolivia at the IMF; Chief Economist at the Central Bank of Ecuador; and international consultant on economic and financial issues.

Currently the Academic Vicerrector of Universidad Internacional del Ecuador, he held several senior academic management positions at universities in Ecuador, Costa Rica and Latin America.

Engineer from École Polytechnique – France; Economist & Statistician from ENSAE – France; and PhD from the University of Paris I, he has taught for over 20 years in French and Ecuadorian universities.
