Thomas is a researcher at the Finance for Development Lab, primarily responsible for building and maintaining debt sustainability analysis models, incorporating new data sources and scenarios into them, and conducting other quantitative work.
Holding a Master’s in International Economics from the Geneva Graduate Institute, Thomas’s research interests include financial integration and crises, geopolitical and geoeconomic conflicts, and their impacts on development. Before joining FDL, he worked at the Kiel Institute, co-authoring a paper on European aid for Ukraine. Prior to this, he worked in economic research for the International Labour Organisation and the British government.
