Raka De
Research Assistant
Raka joined the Finance for Development Lab to work on debt sustainability analysis, climate finance, and development finance in Africa. Additionally, she is also a research data specialist at AidData to develop a comprehensive loan-level database for Chinese lending to the world. Previously, she was a summer intern at the Ministry of Finance in Sierra Leone and authored a report on developing their digital accessibility strategy. She has also worked on reforms for state-owned enterprises while analysing Ghana’s artisanal mining sector as part of her Master’s thesis. Before Harvard, she worked as a Consultant at the World Bank on NLP algorithms for text-to-data conversions with Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh. She holds a B.Sc. in Economics and Finance and a Master’s in Public Administration in International Development from Harvard Kennedy School.
