Yufan Huang

China Program Manager

Yufan Huang joined FDL as China Program Manager. His research focuses on China’s overseas lending, sovereign debt restructuring, and its evolving role in the international financial architecture. His doctoral research at Cornell University examines how China engages with international debt restructuring institutions, with particular attention to domestic bureaucratic politics and creditor coordination. He previously worked with the China Africa Research Initiative at Johns Hopkins SAIS and has conducted extensive fieldwork across Africa and Asia. He holds an MA from Johns Hopkins SAIS and a BA from Renmin University of China.
