Senior Economist
Mélina London is a Senior Economist at the Finance for Development Lab, specializing in international trade, climate economics, sustainable finance, and international capital flows.
Before joining the Lab, Mélina worked as an Economist at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission, focusing on sustainable finance, climate adaptation, and firms’ resilience to climate change.
Prior to this, she worked at Coface as a Country Risk Economist, where she conducted macroeconomic analysis of emerging economies. During this period, she completed a PhD in Economics at Aix-Marseille University, focusing on trade credit networks and financial spillovers. She also holds master’s degrees from Sciences Po Paris and Paris Dauphine University.
